Patio Materials Planner
Change the example inputs to calculate your own result.
How the calculation works
Area = length × width. Stones = ceil(area / stone area × allowance). Base volume = area × depth. Materials cost = stones × entered price + base volume × entered price.
Worked example
With length 5 m, width 4 m, stone length 40 cm, stone width 40 cm, extra stones 10 %, base depth 10 cm, your price per stone 4.00 USD/stone, your base price 50.00 USD/m³, estimated materials cost is 652.00 USD.
Assumptions and limits
Rectangular patio and uniform stones. Prices and base depth are examples to replace with supplier/site specifications. No labor, drainage, cutting layout or structural suitability included.
