What stays in your browser
Calculator inputs, saved results, Studio drafts and conversations, project runs and appearance preferences use local browser storage. They are not synchronized to an account. Other people using the same browser profile may be able to see them. Clearing this site's browser data removes local saves; download a backup first if you want to keep them.
Template downloads and Studio share links remove input values, scenarios and conversations. Names, descriptions, formulas and fixed rates remain, so review the file or link before sending it to anyone. A Studio share link carries the same definition inside the URL fragment, which browsers do not send to our servers; it opens in the recipient's Studio as a private, unreviewed copy. CSV result exports and project backups may include your current values. Importing a template or opening a share link reads the definition locally.
Calculator share links and embedded widgets work differently: they place the current input values in the visible query string of the address. When a link or an embedded widget is opened, our hosting provider processes that request, and the query string may appear in request logs. Share or embed only input values you are willing to disclose; Studio calculator definitions are never part of these links.
When you submit an AI request
Your description and, when refining a calculator, its current definition go through our hosted AI endpoint to Google Gemini. That definition can include calculator names, labels, formulas and saved defaults. Using a standard calculator or editing its live inputs does not by itself submit those values to Gemini.
Avoid including sensitive information or private measurements unless needed. Google's processing, retention and possible review of submitted content follow its Gemini API terms and privacy policy. Clearing your browser does not remove data already submitted to a provider.
Hosting and request limits
Vercel hosts the website and AI endpoint. Hosting infrastructure may process network addresses and request metadata to deliver and protect the service; see Vercel's privacy policy.
To enforce AI request quotas, the service derives a keyed identifier from the network address. The raw network address is not sent to the quota service. Cloudflare stores the identifier and request counters for up to 48 hours after the latest request. This identifier is used for request limits, not an account or advertising profile. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for its infrastructure processing.
Optional usage measurement
Usage measurement is off until you choose it on the home page. When enabled, the site keeps a bounded log of tool identifiers and interactions in this browser. Input values and descriptions are excluded. This local log is not sent to us. You can turn it off at any time; browser site-data controls remove the saved log.
The site also uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic. Analytics storage starts in Google's Consent Mode "denied" state and switches to "granted" only when you enable the same home-page opt-in; before that, Google may receive cookieless measurement pings without a stored identifier. Every page view we send is manually sanitized to the site origin, page path and page title: address query strings and fragments — which can contain calculator inputs or shared definitions — are removed before anything is transmitted, and no advertising signals are enabled. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, the analytics script is not loaded at all. Embedded widget pages under /embed/ contain no analytics. Google's processing follows its privacy policy.
