CALCULATOR

Parallelogram Area Calculator

Find a parallelogram footprint from one base and its perpendicular height.

YOUR INPUTS Live calculation

Example values. Enter your own inputs.

Area

24m²

How the calculation works

Area = base length × perpendicular height.

Worked example

With base length 8 m, perpendicular height 3 m, area is 24 m².

Assumptions and limits

A flat parallelogram. Height is measured at a right angle to the chosen base; the sloping side is not the height. Enter both lengths in meters, from 0.001 to 1,000,000. The result is geometric area only; waste, overlaps and material thickness are excluded.
