CALCULATOR
Ingredient Cup Count from Supplied Density Calculator
Ingredient Cup Count from Supplied Density Calculator — change the supplied values to calculate ingredient cup count from supplied density.
Custom measuring-cup volume and measured bulk density; no regional cup assumption. All monetary inputs use one selected currency with no currency conversion. Numerical binary64 projection.
Accepted inputs: Ingredient mass: 0 to 1,000 g; Measured bulk density: 0.001 to 10 g/mL; Chosen cup volume: 1 to 1,000 mL.
How the calculation works
mass/(density*cup)
One selected cup contains bulk density times selected cup volume grams; divide mass by that amount.
Worked example
With ingredient mass 240 g, measured bulk density 0.8 g/mL, chosen cup volume 250 mL, ingredient cup count from supplied density is 1.2 cups.
Assumptions and limits
Custom measuring-cup volume and measured bulk density; no regional cup assumption. All monetary inputs use one selected currency with no currency conversion. Numerical binary64 projection.
