Concrete Reinforcing Mesh Calculator
Estimate full mesh sheets for a rectangular area with a specified overlap.
Your measurements
Example inputs; replace with your measurements.
Method, limits & sources
Rows = max(1, round up [(area length − overlap) ÷ (sheet length − overlap)]); columns use the same formula. Compare both sheet orientations.
Full-sheet rectangular coverage. Not a cutting optimizer. Overlap, mesh grade, edge cover, positioning and reinforcement suitability must come from the project specification.
Worked example & product data
A 20 ft × 12 ft area with 8 ft × 4 ft sheets and 6 in overlap needs 12 whole sheets using the better of two orientations.
